My brother-in-law and I, both SLR fans, have been arguing over whether or not purple is a good color on the SLR.

I make the argument that the SLR is a wild GT car, so it deserves a wild color, such as a deep metal flake purple.

Thoughts?

Not a fan. For me SLRs should be either Silver or black but that decision comes from a place of misery.
